Leis & Garlands’ inspiration derives from the Polynesian and Hawaiian tradition of crafting and sending leis to dear loved ones as a symbol of “aloha,” along with the Filipino values of practicing “kapwa” in communion with others. Other lines of inspiration originate from indigenous artwork practiced by the people of the Asia and Asia-Pacific regions.

While maintaining the integrity of separate practices, combining art-forms opens up the conversation to sharing common cultural customs and traditions with each other. Cultural items are not limited to Asia, Asia-Pacific, and Pacific Islander regions — we are open to diversifying our selections.
